Monika Rugs was born from a promise and a heritage.

The house bears the name of my mother, Monica, my very first source of inspiration. She embodied a free and sensitive vision of creation, shaped by a multicultural journey and a deep artistic curiosity.

Born to Egyptian parents in Lima, Peru, Monica left her country at the age of 18 to study at St Martin's School of Art in London, where she discovered her passion for art, design, and creation. 

Her perspective shaped by a blend of cultures, colors, and materials now lies at the very heart of Monika Rugs’s identity.

Through this house, I wish to carry on this legacy : to celebrate cultural diversity and the dialogue between countries, visions, and craftsmanship.

We place essential importance on ancestral craftsmanship, while infusing it with a contemporary vision rooted in my work as an interior architect. Each piece is conceived as a unique creation, designed to stand the test of time, with uncompromising quality and a distinctive design.
